The Cumberland County Board of Education has approved a waiver of Policy 4316 (Student Dress Code, School Uniform Requirements) for the 2020-2021 school year only, as allowed by Policy 2450 (Suspension of Board Policies), due to the financial impact of COVID-19. However, families still have the option to allow students to wear uniforms when Blended-Remote and Face-to-Face Learning is in operation. There will be no consequences imposed upon a student for a uniform violation during the 2020-2021 school year.

At our school, we are introducing, modeling, and reinforcing positive behavioral expectations and rewarding students for following them. This is a much more positive approach than waiting for misbehavior to occur before responding.  The first two weeks of school is devoted to teaching our students the school’s expectations, policies, rountines, and procedures through our R.O.A.R. Matrix.

The acronym R.O.A.R. embodies the vision for behavior at Margaret Willis.

We believe in Respect, Order & safety, Positive Attitude, and Responsibility.

Click the link to view our matrix. ROAR Matrix (1)

The purpose of school-wide PBIS is to establish a climate in which appropriate behavior is the norm. Parents, please ask your child about R.O.A.R.!
