Attendance at Brentwood Elementary is an integral part of our school day.  Being on time and in school everyday can greatly enhance your child’s educational progress.  Our goal is to maintain or increase our attendance rate to 96%.  We understand that illnesses do occur, however, we do ask that you and your child make every effort to attend school regularly.  Please remember that whenever your child is absent to send a note explaining your child’s absence or absences.  If  a note is not received, the absence will be coded as unlawful.  If your child is sick and will be out more than one day, please contact your child’s teacher. Please also be aware, that excessive absences or tardies can result in a referral to the Department of Social Services.  Thank you for helping us maintain and instill good attendance habits in the students at Brentwood Elementary.  If you have any questions about attendance, please feel free to contact Janessa Edmonds, our social worker, and she will be happy to answer any questions.
