Mission Statement
Welcome to the 2020-2021 School Year. We are looking forward to an exciting and successful year! Brentwood Elementary School is continuing to participate in Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS), a school-wide program that fosters positive behaviors in our students. At Brentwood Elementary, we have adopted the “Eagle Code” to remind us of the positive behaviors that will support a positive and safe learning environment.
I am a Brentwood eagle soaring
Safely on my way
Organized everyday
Accountable for what I do
Respectful to me and you
Schools are successful when they help children grow academically, socially, and emotionally. In order for this to happen it is imperative that we have a safe environment that is supportive and conducive for growth. By setting forth clear social and behavioral expectations and directly teaching students about those expectations, it is our goal to create a positive atmosphere for optimal learning.
Students will have an opportunity to earn five PBIS tickets daily from their teacher. Students will earn these tickets at different periods throughout the day. Although our PBIS approach emphasizes appropriate positive behaviors, some students may violate school rules. If they do, they will not earn a PBIS ticket for that time frame. Students are also able to earn tickets for showing positive behavior throughout the school from other faculty and staff. We believe that by encouraging students to engage in appropriate behavior, we will continue with a school community where all students have the opportunity to grow and succeed.
We encourage you to review the Eagle Code above, the Expectations Matrix (click on the link) and Voice Level Matrix (click on the link) with your child. At Brentwood Elementary, we are dedicated to creating a positive and safe learning environment for all students and we value your continued dedication and support. Together, we can make a difference!
